A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of returning to The Junction in downtown Chapel Hill to host a community headshot day for the brilliant minds in the Innovate Carolina startup incubator.
Behind the Scenes: Efficiency Meets Aesthetic
My goal for this event was to photograph as many entrepreneurs as possible over a three-hour window. Thanks to some great pre-event planning with the staff at The Junction, we created a seamless experience:
- The Setup: I opted for a modern, simple one-light setup. This allowed me to leverage the sleek, industrial environment of The Junction to give these startups a contemporary, "innovation-minded" aesthetic.
- The Schedule: To keep things running smoothly, I used my digital booking software to handle contracts, image releases, and scheduling.
- The Result: Everyone was booked into rapid, highly efficient 7-minute windows. The system worked flawlessly, and we walked away with over 25 polished, professional headshots for the local community.
